Columbia River Mandrel Bending manufactures tube product for primarily automotive and marine applications. Our roots are in the automotive aftermarket field, so we have geared our operation to meeting the needs of other aftermarket performance companies. Founded in 2003, Columbia River Mandrel Bending was formed as JAC Engineering, LLC. A small single owner/operator fabrication company building parts in the back of a garage. With a good first year, and the support of a very understanding wife, we quickly out grew the garage with the purchase of our first tube bender in 2004 and moved into a 950 square foot facility in Gresham, Oregon. 6 months later we purchased a 3000 square foot facility in Saint Helens, Oregon and renamed the business Columbia River Mandrel Bending and hired our first employee. Since 2004, we have grown dramatically and now run four production mandrel benders, automatic sawing lines and deburring machines. We employ between 10 to 15 people depending on the season, and are continuing to grow. We stock well over 40,000 bends at any given time and employ some of the best fabricators in Oregon. We build contract performance aftermarket parts for many of the top names in the industry. As of May 2009, we are currently spread out across 3 purchased buildings, encapsulating a total of 8200 square feet. |
